Trager approach is a gentle mind-body loom. For deep relaxation, optimal performance and to increase the physical mobility trager approach has recurring movements and touch. Trager approach utilizes moderate, non-intrusive and normal movements. It helps to get relief from both physical and mental relief
Trager approach has two main aspects. In the first aspect the clients are passive and the process is called as Table Work and in the second one the clients are active and the process is called as Mentastics
In table work the clients are made to lie on a table and the therapists do the movements on the client's body. And in the mentastics the clients do the gentle free movements for themselves
No oils and lotions are used
The sessions last for about 60 - 90 minutes
The clients are made to lie on a padded table
The clients are allowed to wear their swine coats
Only gentle movements are given
During the session if you are a first time visitor then the therapist naturally try to explore your health history and try to find out the physical problems you are currently suffering. Then they try to discuss about your emotional feelings which helps them to make some kind of relationship between the mind and the mind
The session usually last for one to one and a half hours. And you will be allowed to wear loose clothing or your swim coats. You will be made to lie on a padded table that is located in a calm environment. The therapist works on your whole body and partly with your limbs and segments
The features of the movements are gentle, softly acute firmness, coaxing elongation which gives enjoyable rocking structure
After the table work the clients are asked to follow simple and easy movements called Mentastics. This is done to uphold and improve the wisdom of lightness, liberty and suppleness that was imparted during the table work
